Starting a new hive shouldn’t feel overwhelming — and with Farmer Bee, it isn’t. We help you choose the right spot, set the right equipment, and get your bees settled with calm, experienced hands. It’s a simple, steady start that gives your colony everything it needs to grow strong.

Hive Assembly & Setup

From boxes to frames to final placement, we handle the full assembly so your hive is built clean, square, and ready for bees. Whether you’re using HiveIQ or traditional woodenware, we make sure everything is set up correctly and walk you through what to expect next. It’s professional prep with a friendly, real‑beekeeper touch.

Establish New Colony

What is Bee Rescue?

Bee rescue is the safe, humane removal and relocation of unwanted honey bee colonies from homes, barns, sheds, and other structures. Instead of extermination, we carefully transfer the bees, brood, and comb to a managed hive where they can thrive. It’s a service that protects your property while preserving Michigan’s essential pollinators.

How We Do It ...

Our bee rescue process uses proven, low‑impact techniques to remove the colony intact. We locate the hive, open the area with minimal disruption, and safely transfer bees, comb, and brood into a new hive box. Once secured, the colony is relocated to our apiary, where it can rebuild in a safe, healthy environment under experienced care.
